Benchmark: ElastiCache
Overview
This section contains recommendations for configuring AWS ElastiCache resources and options.
Usage
Install the mod:
mkdir dashboardscd dashboardspowerpipe mod initpowerpipe mod install github.com/turbot/steampipe-mod-aws-compliance
Start the Powerpipe server:
steampipe service startpowerpipe server
Open http://localhost:9033 in your browser and select ElastiCache.
Run this benchmark in your terminal:
powerpipe benchmark run aws_compliance.benchmark.foundational_security_elasticache
Snapshot and share results via Turbot Pipes:
powerpipe benchmark run aws_compliance.benchmark.foundational_security_elasticache --share
Controls
- 1 ElastiCache for Redis clusters should have automatic backups scheduled
- 2 Minor version upgrades should be automatically applied to ElastiCache for Redis cache clusters
- 3 ElastiCache for Redis replication groups should have automatic failover enabled
- 4 ElastiCache for Redis replication groups should be encrypted at rest
- 5 ElastiCache for Redis replication groups should be encrypted in transit
- 6 ElastiCache for Redis replication groups before version 6.0 should use Redis AUTH
- 7 ElastiCache clusters should not use the default subnet group
