Thrifty Network Benchmark

Thrifty developers ensure that they delete unused network resources. This benchmark focuses on finding resources that are not attached (and therefore not in use).

Usage

Install the mod:

mkdir dashboards
cd dashboards
powerpipe mod init
powerpipe mod install github.com/turbot/steampipe-mod-aws-thrifty

Start the Powerpipe server:

steampipe service start
powerpipe server

Open http://localhost:9033 in your browser and select Networking Checks.

Run this benchmark in your terminal:

powerpipe benchmark run aws_thrifty.benchmark.network

Snapshot and share results via Turbot Pipes:

powerpipe benchmark run aws_thrifty.benchmark.network --share

Controls

Unattached elastic IP addresses (EIPs) should be released
Unused NAT gateways should be deleted
