Benchmark: 6 Docker Security Operations

Overview

This section covers some of the operational security issues associated with Docker deployments. These are best practices that should be followed where possible. Most of the recommendations in this section simply act as reminders that organizations should extend their current security best practices and policies to include containers.

Usage

Install the mod:

mkdir dashboards
cd dashboards
powerpipe mod init
powerpipe mod install github.com/turbot/steampipe-mod-docker-compliance

Start the Powerpipe server:

steampipe service start
powerpipe server

Open http://localhost:9033 in your browser and select 6 Docker Security Operations.

Run this benchmark in your terminal:

powerpipe benchmark run docker_compliance.benchmark.cis_v160_6

Snapshot and share results via Turbot Pipes:

powerpipe benchmark run docker_compliance.benchmark.cis_v160_6 --share
